Quiz #2

Data Set:  The data you will analyze in this quiz are the number of people served per doctor and the average female lifespan in the 40 most populated countries in the world. 

This data exists in Excel Data or Text format.

Analysis:  Using Excel, perform the most appropriate statistical analysis required to answer the following questions.  Print out a copy of the analysis you do and answer the questions in writing on the printout that relates to the question. 
 

 

  1. What is the mean, median and mode for the number of people per doctor data in the 40 most populated countries in the world?
  2. Can you predict with a high degree of confidence the lifespan of  females in the countries based on the number of people per doctor?  Explain how you arrived at  your conclusion based on the results of the statistics you performed on the data.
  3. Generate a histogram of the people per doctor data. Is the data normally distributed? Explain how you arrived at  your conclusion based on the results of all of the analysis you performed on the data.
