Data Set:  The data you will analyze in this quiz are body measurements of 252 people including weight, height, abdomen circumference (waist), thigh circumference and body fat

This data exists in Excel Data or Text format.

Analysis:  Using Excel, perform the most appropriate statistical analysis required to answer the following questions.  Print out a copy of the analysis you do and answer the questions in writing on the printout that relates to the question. 
 

  1. What is the mean, median and mode of the subject's percent body fat? 
  2. Can you predict with a high degree of confidence a person's percent body fat from the person's abdomen circumference?  Explain how you arrived at  your conclusion based on the results of the statistics you performed on the data.
  3. Generate a histogram of the percent body fat data. Is the data normally distributed? Explain how you arrived at  your conclusion based on the results of all of the analysis you performed on the data.
